Player Name:(Jreid- jt also works)
Name:Apocalypse/En Sabah Nur
Age:4,012
Gender:male (presumably)
Species:mutant
Affiliation: Apocalypse
Apperance:Apocalypse stands, on average, about eight feet tall and weighs about five hundred pounds. Every part of his body, with the exception of his head, is completely sheathed in blue metal. This metal body is extremely dense and bulky, giving Apocalypse a "muscular" appearance despite the fact that his movement is controlled by gears rather than muscles.
Personality:Although he was at one point a mutant, Apocalypse's personality now seems as mechanical as his body. He doesn't seem to have much in the way of emotions, and appears to be incapable of feelings as basic as love or even lust. He is clearly incapable of compassion or empathy. He doesn't really appear truly happy, even when things are going his way. He seems incapable of fear, although it's possible that he simply hasn't come across anyone or anything to make him feel fear in quite some time. Probably the most common emotion Apocalypse shows is anger when his plans are foiled.
Apocalypse believes in a sort of social Darwinism- the idea of survival of the fittest applied to every living organism, sentient or otherwise. He seems unconcerned with the environmental toll that his projects place on the world, assuming that the truly fit will adapt to the environment he has made.
Despite the fact that one would expect Apocalypse to be paranoid as a result of both his actions and his personal philosophy, Apocalypse seems to trust his small inner circle. It's unclear whether this is due to the fact that he expects loyalty out of them or is simply arrogant enough to believe that no one can defeat him.
Equipment:none
Powers:Superhuman strength: able to lift two tons and hit with enough force to shatter concrete
Superhuman durability: He is immune to most conventional weapons- knives, swords, bullets, and even most explosives don’t seem to leave a scratch on him. He also seems to be impervious to disease and poison. Heat and cold only affect him at VERY extreme temperatures.
Telepathic immunity: enough said
Self-sufficiency: does not require sleep, air, food, or water…or at least doesn’t seem to
Malleable body: capable of altering himself on a molecular level, allowing him to control his size and manipulating the shape of his limbs. He has been shown, for example, to turn his arms into shields or battering rams or to create jet rockets from his feet. He can also shapeshift, allowing him to take on a more human form. There appear to be limits on his shapeshifting- he cannot alter his molecular state to that of a gas, solid, or pure energy, for example, and he is unable to duplicate the elastic body structure of Mr. Fantastic. He can also appear no shorter than six feet, and his usual height is about eight feet.
Skills:-great expertise in the following areas: physics, biology, chemistry, engineering, robotics, and cryptology
-shrewd planner
Weakness:Arrogance: Apocalypse really does think he is the greatest thing since sliced bread. This means he underestimates…well, just about everyone.
Celestial technology: what made Apocalypse powerful can also make him weak.
Adamantium: This alloy is capable of cutting through his metal skin, although not without some resistance.
Magnetism: his body is chiefly metal
Magic: certain magical spells may be able to hurt, slow, or hinder Apocalypse (I just threw this in here in case there's a Dr. Strange)
Family:Baal, foster father (deceased)
History:Apocalypse was born around 2000 BC in Akkabah, Jordan. His mother, seeing his gray skin and blue lips, assumed the baby was sickly and near death and left him for dead in the wilderness.
However, the child was found by a group of desert nomads known as The Sandstormers. The nomads believed the child to be a god reborn in the flesh, and they took the child in and raised as their own. He was named En Sabah Nur by the tribal chief, Baal, and En Sabah Nur was raised as one of Baal's own sons. En Sabat learned how to survive in the wilderness, tend to the tribe's animals and fight. Perhaps most importantly, however, he learned of the tribe's belief in survival of the fittest. Sandstormers who were weak or crippled in some way were a burden on the tribe and were killed or abandoned. Baal explained to him that such people were a waste of resources, and En Sabah grew to take this philosophy as his own. As his mutant powers began to manifest in the form of great strength and stamina, the Sandstormers naturally grew to respect En Sabah more, and he was soon nearly as much of an authority figure to the tribe as Baal himself.
Ironically enough, the nomads who respected strength above all else were eventually defeated by a stronger enemy. Kang the Conquerer took the form of an Egyptian pharaoh and fought the Sandstormers to the brink of annihilation.
His powers not fully developed, En Sabah Nur was enslaved by the Egyptians for years. He suffered particular torment at the hands of the warlord Ozymandias. However, he managed to eventually lead a rebellion which overthrew Kang and annihilated his army. It was at this point that he took the name Apocalypse. He also spared Ozymandias from death, using Kang's technology to instead encase him in the form of a sentient statue and make him his slave.
Apocalypse then traveled throughout the world, establishing himself as a god in various cultures. He also founded the Clan Akkabah, a cult dedicated to him. In Mongolia, he eventually discovered a spaceship which allowed him to augment his natural abilities, turned his body into metal, and allowed him access to advanced technology.
For a time, Apocalypse entered a state of suspended animation within the spaceship, allowing him to grow stronger. He is known to have been awake during the twelfth century, when he turned a French knight into a servant of his, calling him Exodus. After that, Apocalypse apparently laid low until the mid 1800s when he met Nathaniel Essex in England. There he used the alien technology he had acquired to create an immortal body for the man who would become known as Mr. Sinister.
During the 1930s and 1940s, he played a behind-the-scenes role in the rise of The Third Reich in Germany. When Nazi Germany was defeated, he entered into suspended animation again, resurfacing in the 1990s to once again begin plotting the Age of Apocalypse. He began to gather information on what he had missed during his long slumber, build up the strength of the Clan Akkabah, gather intelligence on the military strength of various countries, and construct weapons, factories, mechanical soldiers, and other supplies that he would need to achieve his plan for world domination. Most importantly, through the use of persuasion, payment, coercion, or deception, Apocalypse gathered allies.
In 2007, Apocalypse revealed his true form to the world and demanded that the nations of the world surrender to him. He quickly seized control of various countries' nuclear arsenals, and launched blitzkrieg attacks against a variety of countries. His successful invasion of the Middle East allowed him control of a large share of the world's oil supply and greatly hindered further military strikes against him.
With time, it became obvious that Apocalypse would indeed conquer the world. Several world governments submitted to Apocalypse, only to find their members slaughtered for their "weakness." It soon became clear that the only way for human and mutants to be spared Apocalypse's wrath was to join the hit squads he created, which were tasked with hunting down others of their kind- either agitators against Apocalypse or individuals simply deemed unfit to live.
Today, Apocalypse rules over about ninety percent of the world, and the planetary population has decreased by about sixty percent. Apocalypse's armed forces consist mostly of cyborgs, Sentinels, and robots, with a select few mutants and even fewer humans. Scattered rebellions occur throughout the world, but they are quickly quelled. Only a few brave- and often suicidal- men and women continue to fight against the forces of Apocalypse.

Roleplay SampleHigh up in his fortress, Apocalypse could gaze down at Detroit and what the city had become. He himself couldn't tell which areas of light and smoke were from industrial projects and which were simply the result of burning buildings. He had made great strides since he had first announced his dominion over the world in 2007, but his mission was not yet complete. Humans and mutants of inferior design still existed on his world, taking up resources selfishly and trying to hold back his dream of a perfect world.
Truth be told, though, he pitied the rebels more than he hated them. They were of inferior design and their defeat was inevitable, but they continued to try and survive because it was what they were programmed to do. Of course, that didn't mean they would be spared his wrath if they destroyed one of his factories or a squad of Sentinels.
The giant mutant paused a moment to consider- would he truly be happy once he achieved his goal? Or would he simply suffer from boredom? It was a question that he couldn't answer- he wasn't sure if he could still feel happiness anymore, or if that was something he had shed in his own quest for improvement.
At the chirp of a com, Apocalypse shook off his introspective thoughts. Turning, he saw that one of his cyborg officers awaited his attention on the com screen. Apocalypse didn't know his name and didn't care. He simply awaited the news.
"Lord Apocalypse, we believe we have found that rebel stronghold that has been plaguing us. I am dispatching a Sentinel crew to deal with the problem now." The cyborg seemed nervous, despite the fact that he had been told to call Apocalypse himself to report this news. Perhaps he feared that Apocalypse would find the news trivial and kill him for the interruption. Apocalypse didn't reassure him- it was good to have fearful underlings.
"Very good, Lieutenant," Apocalypse rumbled. He considered the idea of joining the squad for the assault, but dismissed it quickly. These were gnats, not worthy of his personal attention.
