Laurie sighed a bit in exhaustion, having been traveling for some time over the last couple of days. Her mach 6 transonic speed allowed her to travel quickly, far faster then most would since many might have been traveling the ocean still after three days. None the less it still tired her out after having only a few breaks along the way to rest. Though she didn't seem to need to eat as much as she used to so she reserved her energy more then most.
For now though the blue woman was settling down among some of the rocky terrain outside of Las Vegas, once known for it's casinos and night strip. Now it seemed just a place for Apocalypse's forces to enjoy rather then everyone altogether. It kind of disgusted Laurie just how much they took pleasure in killing, torturing, and harming others for no reason. In fact she had at one point been one of the prisoners kept locked away in the camps or breeding pins, shuddering as she remembered what she had endured until her powers came in.
Though this time she was there to make up for the missions she seemed to miss and wanted to contribute more to the team. Often she just seemed to find herself at the wrong place at the wrong time. Well that was going to start changing. She had taken this chance to do another patrol around the United States, hoping to gather some sort of information that'd prove useful for the X-men but so far she wasn't doing so well in the fact she had just arrived.
Now she was stranded in the desert landscape until she regained her strength and could move on. Least so she thought.
