"Problem is we need more people to start fighting back Clinton, especially when this war is starting to pick up in recent years and it's only going to get worse. If there really are other teams it'd be smart to extend a hand to them and try and offer chances to fight."Amethyst said as she flicked her tail, looking at the archer with a saddened gaze. Though she spoke of having to fight back Amethyst herself hated fighting and would have preferred a more peaceful means to end this, but peaceful means had long since been out of the question.
Sighing she hung her head then,"To be quite honest I hate to fight and hate violence altogether. I may speak with optimism of fighting back but finding a peaceful means is more of how I am and unfortunately I've had to face the fact that's not going to happen."She admitted.

"Yeah I've tried to see if other teams are out there like the other Avengers. So far I've only found one who's still out there but that's all I know. Maybe the X-Men might be a bit of a help." Clint said with a nod as he agreed with Amethyst with that part. But he did notice the sadness in her look and understood what she meant. Sometimes he didn't like fighting but got forced into it, many times he was forced to fight some of his old friends that decided to change sides. That had been many of the inncidents that he could think of. One example was his brother. He didn't know what made Trickshot suddenly change his mind, but now it was like the two rivaled over nothing in order to be strong.
"Sometimes Apocalypse forces us to fight, I've been doing mostly to defend myself. That's really it. Since I know arrows will bounce right off of those robots if you don't have the right ones with you." Clint said as he tried to think of something to make Amethyst feel better, but he found it hard for some reason. And also slightly nervous for some reason too. He wondered if Amethyst had noticed that now in him as he looked up at her as she had her head hung low.

Amethyst finally brought her gaze up to look at Flint as he spoke once more, frowning at hearing how he had had to fight people he once called friends. Imagining the same thing to happen one day made the neyaphem inwardly cringe being unable to see such a thing happening. It was a terrible thought altogether. Then she thought about her brother who was the total opposite of who she was and that he had grown to love fighting. Would that be used against him to possibly influence her brother? Would they eventually become enemies? Amethyst couldn't think of what she would do then and she certainly wouldn't stand s chance.
"It certainly isn't something you want on your mind, having to fight people you care about and being unable to do much against them."She agreed but nodded about having the right weapon to take down the robotic guards and patrols."Agreed again, same kind of goes for my lunar manipulation and being able to attack the right spot, even with my natural physical mutations its not easy."

Clint nodded in agreement, "Yeah the last thing I want to do is kill someone I knew as a friend. If they left me with that choice I wouldn't do it." He said wondering if that sounded like a weakness as he spoke. It may have, someone would use it against him. But so far he had noticed that hadn't holded him back, even in fighting his brother in times in the past. It just maybe never crossed his m ind. "Uh I've never heard of lunar manipulation. Then again I'm not exactly a mutant either. So I'm not that well knoweledgeable on powers just yet." Clinton said knowing that he aut to at least learn about them. Since he knew the Captain had some and so did the other members of the Avengers, they were also mutants. Of course, he didn't know anyone better than he on when it came to arrows and shooting them. Lastly, not to mention he normally hit a target and rarely missed.

Amethyst contemplated of showing Clint her secondary ability of lunar manipulation. Right now being at night and the moon out she was certainly in her element, it would also prove to be where she would have an advantage to make attacks and even her force fields stronger. Though there was also the risk of someone seeing the silvery white of her power and knowing where they were hiding. There were pros and cons to this but Amethyst decided to way her options in showing the archer her abilities. "Alllow me to show you." She said with a kind smile while dropping down next to Clint and kneeling on one knee beside him.
Lifting her hand out in the middle between them she focused the energy she felt radiating off the moon and a small orb of a silvery white light showed, giving off a light that illuminated both of them and about three feet outward. Here she could see the man in front of her more clearly and likewise for Clint to see her. This time Amethyst took a moment to take in his features, finding the ordinary human archer to be strong, handsome, and truly skilled just from a glance. Luckily she was happy she had fur since she flushed a bit at finding this man attractive and having just met humbug already she was likely infatuated with the former Avenger.

Clint was forced to put a hand up over his eyes in order to hide the light and shield them from being blinded by it. Finally, his eyes adjusted to it, as he saw just how her powers worked. The light reminded him of the moon as it was casted down into the grass. In reminded Clinton of his younger days. after a hard days work of training in the circus, he would see the moon out and come to relaxe out in the open areas near the circus. Occasionally, they would end up travelling but it was rare so he was always back at home so he got to see the moon rise up from the horizon. And then each morning it would be gone again. But since the time of Apocalypse, seeing the moon at night was a rare thing to him. He had always been on the move, and that was how it had been. Never a time to a rest, since the Avengers had disappeared he never felt like he was safe again like he had at the circus.
As Amethyst was working on her powers, he looked at her with a soft smile, impressed with her work on how she could use them. He wondered if the two could make a tag team in a fight if that were ever to happen. She could enhance his arrows? There was a chance of that? He thought about it may work but he wasn't going to push it if she didn't want too. But he also noticed that she was looking at him oddly. Was she alright? He couldn't seem to find the words to speak to Amethyst as she looked back at him. He had to think of something to say, or this would just be too awkward.
"Um that was pretty impressive. It made me bring back some memories. Some good ones." Clinton said as he reached out a hand onto Amethyst's side. Not sure what made him do this, but he felt her fur. It was soft, nothing hoarse or hard like some animal's fur was. He pressed it gently against her side and left it there. "But I guess I can thank you for that demonstration. It was certainly worth seeing."

Knowing that she had helped Clint remember some good memories made Amethyst smile a bit, glad to have helped someone even when they were hiding. In such dark times a little happiness went a long way and it seemed to help bring the occasional smile and hope everyone looked forward to. Though it surprised Amethyst slightly when Clint laid a hand on her side and half expected him to flinch away from her, especially now that he could see her demonic appearance far more clearly now that there was some strong source of light in her hand yet he didn't seem to mind.
Rarely did she ever get this reaction. Amethyst had always faced the worry of going unaccepted much thanks to how she looked and not being 'normal' to fit in society, her brother having also faced such persecution. It was something they couldn't change nor did they want to. It was who and what they were even if they didn't know why it had turned out that way since they had been born.
Smiling a bit Amethyst nodded while pushing her shyness and shock away, "I'm glad to hear it didn't tighten you away. By now most people get freaked out by my appearance back in Europe its been hard to do anything outside the X-men or here for missions so I am somewhat happy to be away from judging eyes.*She sighed while keeping the light on and still listening closely for someone or a sentinal to be lurking about.

Clinton shrugged a bit as he heard her, he had seen bizzare things out there, and Amethyst wasn't anything bad at all. Even if Clint had threatened to point an arrow at her, it was mostly out of habit, he didn't trust many these days and how could you? You would often end up dead if you didn't act that way sometimes and it was to show that you weren't weak. And Clint certainly wasn't. Though if he did aim one arrow at Amethyst, now it was an accident, he didn't mean it. He saw how kind Amethyst had been.
"You shouldn't be around me. I've seen stranger things. Men in robot suits, the strongest humans out there, even one that turns green. And me? Just a regular human that is good with archery. Nothing special there." Clint said with another shrug as he looked back at her. He found that his hand still remained on her side as he watched her gently. But he wondered now, that he should let go of her.
"Sorry, I understand if that is a bit awkward." Clint said as he put his hand down back at his side. He found himself fiddling with his bow in hand still. The fine curves made out of it that some how retracted back into something smaller. It could hide into almost nothing and reappeare in a blink of an eye. Clint's trusted arrows and bow hardly ever let him down.

"Well its something you have that's unique to you Clint, after all you don't need to be a mutant to do incredible feats." Amethyst told him. She had seen some humans still perform some great feats before even when they had no sign of a the x-gene in which mutants got their abilities naturally since it was a form of evolution. In a sense there were things mutants could do humans couldn't yet it was also the same for humans. Everyone was skilled at something ans better then others no matter normal or super human.
Though she merely smiled when he moved his hand away, "It's alright Clint and besides its the first time anyone has been curious about my fur. Though have to admit never fun to have a fur coat when its boiling hot." She said in a joking tone and knew from experience that heat was never her best friend, thus when ot was in the 90s or 100s she always remained somewhere cool, even on a nice day to avoid being dehydratsd and heat stroke. She had nearly suffered it a few times and had to learn to adapt to the fur and heat that wasn't a good combination at all."But guess I can add to your list of strange looking people huh."

"Yeah I guess you're right. I need to perhaps stop being so hard on myself sometimes. Even so, one other person on my Avenger's team was just a human in a robotic suit. He could have succumbed to anything that a human could have." Clint spoke but what he said was the truth. Tony came to the worst that could have come to any human or mutant, death. And with out him, the Avengers just weren't the same any more and split up.
"That must be pretty bad then. I always find my self ending up sweating to hard sometimes. But with fur it seems like ten times as bad." Clinton said with a soft nod as he listened to her as she spoke up. Sometimes fur didn't always come in handy, but even in the dead of winter it helped to stay warm even at zero degrees. Though Clinton, of course being only human he would have needed at least two sets of coats in order to keep him warm. And also probably gloves to keep his hands from shaking in it, otherwise it would have thrown off his skills.

"If you look at it this way Clint, humans and mutants aren't different from each other since we are all mostly just humans _just that we are evolved." Amethyst said smiling, but at the same time she still wondered about her origins of looking so much like a demon. Many had critisized her for it and have even opted for someway do body reconstruction so she was normal looking. It always appauled her when they said this as it would do little to change the fact of her natural physical enhancements and control of the moon's energy. And fact was she wouldn't ever feel who she was anymore if that were to happen, no she would be a stranger then.
Though as Amethyst was about to say something else she heard loud voices ans marching, making her quickly make the orb of light vanish and giving them little time to adjust. It sounded like some patrolmen were coming to check where they were at last, "Clint we got to go." She said as she quickly moved to a wall and climbed up bust a bit before looking back, "Ans come here since this is a dead end I will have to carry you up." She added while flicking her tail to show how she would.

"Alright I hope I'm not too heavy for you, the arrow case seems to weigh a few additional pounds." Clinton said as he kept his bow out just in case he would need it. Of course his hands would be on Amethyst most of the time but you never knew. So it was out and ready for it as well. Also the thought of what Amethyst had been pretty true, almost everyone could date their ancestory down to the most modern humans in the past. Though Clinton wasn't exactly the one who wanted to learn about his parents, since they abandoned him and his brother at a young age and were forced to be on their own. By now he figured they would have come for him, and they didn't.
He climbed up the sid in what he could in order to get close to Amethyst so she could hang onto them. Then Clint thought of an idea. "Maybe they need a distraction? Like firing an explosive arrow at one of the buildings? They'll think we went another way? Of course it may not be one of the best." He suggested wondering if it just may work.

"Probably not best from here but from higher up, might get them away for long enough we can make a run for it."Amethyst said and wrapped her tail around his waist,"As for weight not much of a worry, can pick up a full grown man with ease."She assured him with a smile before she began to climb and lifting Clinton up with her. By the time she got to the roof though she was panting a little from the extra weight, though she didn't stop till she had set Clinton safely on the roof and stood straight again.
"Alright the noise came where we were earlier, try shooting that way and maybe they might return that direction."Amethyst murmured, indicating the direction they had been running away from before they hid. She just hoped it would work otherwise they would have to just make a run for it and attempt something else.

Once Clinton was put back down on the ground a bit he let Amethyst release him as he looked back at her. It sounded like a good idea, and he knew what weapon to use, the one that James had made him when they had last met earlier. He had yet to test it out to be honest, and now it would certainly be a good time to do it. It would be a loud enough noise for the others to hear, and even if they had technology with them, it would shut it down. They'd be lost. "I've got a arrow that may help us with that one. It's a two in one that sends out a heavy shockwave and causes an explosion, but not only that it should knock out any technology they have." He said as he pulled out the black arrow that had been given to him as a gift. Then he strung it against his retractable bow.
"Well here it goes." He said as he pulled his arm back and was aiming a bit further away from where Amethyst had suggested from. Then he let go of the arrow as it flew through the sky. Almost as if it was effortlessly. It was what Hawkeye had been trained to do all of his life, and he had yet to miss a target with his incredible eyes.

Amethyst nodded as she listened, thinking about the technology he had described for a moment and recalled a little information about such tech. "Sounds something like EMP, it's what causes technology and machines to shut down completely for a certain period of time. Might be what you got in that arrow." She explained to him though she wasn't sure if that was what it was. Never hurt to at least share some information.
None the less she watched as the arrow was shot right for it's mark, amazed to just how good Clinton was with his aim. She knew her brother had taken up the hobby of archery but she never could see merrick being the same skill as the man she had just met and that was plainly obvious that he had done this for far longer then her older brother. But she for now didn't dwell on the thoughts and began to move quickly towards the other side of the roof, waiting for Clinton to catch up.
