The fascination of evolution has plagued the minds of humanity since the beginning of time. From animals adapting to their surroundings to monkeys evolving into humans, the answer for improvement always tends to move humanity forward into a vast unknown. We move from horse and buggy to gas powered transportation, in research of nuclear power. The amount of adaptation to humanity and life as we know it seems to only exponentially move forward.
It is now the year 2020. Throughout America, vast kidnappings of large amounts of people have occurred. No connections, no patterns, and no traces are left behind besides a simple name burned into a wall at all of the crime scenes, “THE CRUSADERS”. The Government has formed a special task group for specifically to track and locate "The Crusaders", whoever or whatever they may be. The task group is made of varied personnel; such as, specialists, scientists, detectives, special ops military, etc. They go under the code-name of The Archangels, named after the Archangel Michael in order to Protect Humanity.
The questions that are arising across America are: Where are these people? What is Happening to them? Why haven’t the Authorities found anything out about it, yet?
Not known to the public is the Release of the first of the Crusaders' captives. A loan man - unknown to himself who he is, or where he is from, or even what happened to him... The only thing he knows is what is tattooed on him: The brand "The Crusaders" in old English, and an odd looking symbol in his left palm.

The term Mutant derives from Mutation. The loan man from before was the first of his kind to surface into the world. The only information we have on an outside perspective of the Crusaders is this: They are an Organization set to help humanity evolve to the next stage of evolution. They are the ones behind the recent epidemic of kidnappings.
The man released from the Crusaders is the first successful person of their Project, thus far. Slane, the first Genetically Modified Human or, for short, "mutant", was released in downtown NYC. It has been months now since his so called "Awakening". He has now taken the role of leadership among his "kind". He finds the clues left by the Crusaders to find the next person being "awaken" and helps them cope with the sudden amnesia of their life. He also helps train them in their abilities, but most of all he leads them to find and hunt the organization known as The Crusaders.
