Apperance:Laurie is an unusual looking woman with her body completely covered by crystal blue skin, a kind of coating over her true skin. ALong her head and shoulders are long bone like protrusions with red hair growing around the head protrusions. She also has body markings all over her body, darker blue lips, and solid white eyes. She is however a slender, fit looking person being a height of 5'9.
Due to her mutation Laurie generally doesn't have to wear clothes since she isn't truly naked and sometimes can go without. But out of habit she will wear hoodies and gym shorts, sometimes sleeveless hsirts or tank tops and often just prefers shorts.
Personality:What someone might notice when they meet Laurie is that she is quite intelligent, having even graduated school a year earlier then most. This makes her a quick thinker and someone always willing to learn when she gets the chance. But next to this she is quite out-going and kind to most everyone.
In battle thought she is fierce and doesn't give up that easily even if it means she could be killed. Also she can sometimes be serious about dire situations and takes her work as an x-man seriously. This can also make her somewhat skeptic on some missions and question the tactics of others depending on what occurs.

Transonic Speed-Laurie can move her body at speeds of mach 6 when flying and when her body shifts around to avoid enemies. When flying she looks like a blur in the air and her body takes on a more rocket-like shape.
Transonic rocket-like form
Self propelled flight-Laurie has an ability to fly through the air without much use of wings, though it is likely with the use of her own energy. When going at a slow rate or not at her transonic speed she takes on a winged alien mermaid form allowing her a type of wings to use.
Shifting Crystal skin-Her skin allows her a natural morphic abilities such as her alien winged mermaid form and rocket-like form during flight. It also grants her great "freak" maneuverability plus enhanced physiology.

History:
Laurie's life started out in what use to be New York City where she was born and raised. Like any person she was raised around a good family environment, growing up around the busy streets and having gotten quite use to the city life. While growing up much of her life she spent around studying and making good grades, leading her to excel academically in school. But any plans for going to college were soon shattered.
When Apocalypse attacked New York and took several humans hostage she was one of them, being put in a camp as a slave. For the first three years since she was 14 Laurie had managed to push through some of the harsh treatment at the hands of Apocalypse's henchmen. But at 17 things began to change where Laurie's bones were in terrible pain and she took on flu like symptoms that prevented her for doing much work. Because she seemed to be getting too ill to work Laurie was subject to be executed until guards noticed she was developing blue skin and her hair was changing color.
Curious to what was occurring she was scent to a nearest lab to watched over where for a time Laurie faced a painful transformation. It wasn't until 18 did she become what she is today and for a few months was subjected to some tests to see if she could be considered 'powerful' enough to be part of Apocalypse's army until she managed to escape during a carelessness by one of the scientist. Shortly after this she took refuge with the X-men and has began to go under training in learning combat skills and continue her schooling.

Laurie sat within the mansion library, reading a book that had caught her attention when she had been searching the shelves for something to read. So far she was already half way through the book within two hours, which to some seemed odd. But Laurie didn't care what the others thought since it was an old habit she had from her younger years.
Though looking at the time she could see it was getting close to dinner so she decided to put the book back where it was and headed off. Brushing aside some of her hair the crystal skinned woman yawned a bit, knowing the last exercise had taken a lot out of her earlier that day. Now she was ready to head to bed soon but first needed something to eat. Though it seemed she wasn't the only one and already found several other there.
Of course with dinner and such a large group it was going to be hectic. Shrugging her broad shoulders she smiled and just went to getting a plate, getting her portions, and sitting down to eat.
