The Marvel you know has long since faded away. In the universe of Twisted Genetics, the organization SHIELD has passed legislation on all superhumans, requiring them to register their identities via way of a Superhuman Registration Act.
While many superpowered individuals are being oppressed by the current law, some have taken up arms against the government, taking advantage of the civil war breaking out between heroes. While SHIELD has the best intentions at heart, will the registration act prove to be their downfall or will it actually help their cause and strengthen the security of society as a whole? Whose side will you take and to what avail?
Twisted Genetics is a intermediate-advanced Marvel site heavily oriented around SHIELD and loosely based around the Civil War arc of Marvel comics. We allow for creative reconstruction of all your favorite canon characters. Want Scarlet Witch as a man? Want Blob as a obese cat? We say go for it. Being an Alternate Universe, anything is possible. While a new site, we are still gathering members and even potential staff members, but we encourage fun and creativity as well as a loosely based plot in which our members can actively influence.
